hey @AstroKobi suppose us on earth are in the year 2022, but you’re in a galaxy over 100 million light years away from earth, and you somehow have a super massive telescope that can zoom in extremely closely into the earth. could you theoretically be able to see the dinosaurs roaming around even if we’re in the year 2022? super curious about this

Considering the JWST uses infrared light to take its pictures including light that has red shifted wouldn’t the light we see be younger then the give distance predicts?
