I was initially afraid of the launch as I had just dropped some money on the 6400 but, after seeing the 6600 I don't regret my purchase one bit.

here in Greece you can buy A7 III with the same amount of money (a6600) !!!

The a6600 + 16-55mm is a tough sell. Only someone who really values small size will get this, otherwise the a7iii with the tamron 28-75mm for the same price will get you the better overall system

Always look forward to your reviews/hands on/etc. Even though I may not agree with point you make I appreciated the detail and throughoness of your videos!

I’m a Nikon guy with a get and go used a6000 and 20mm pancake lens attached to it. It’s 2020 and the drum banging hype on the a6600 model by measurebators started months before has to tone down. But still there are other Sony-paid measurebators cropping up singing praises on the model. It’s a marketing strategy for the price to hold and remain steady on slow moving products. I’m waiting for the hype and price to go down before I will look for a used one at eBay.

For many people like me, for whom the a6000 is still an excellent camera ( no, I don't do any video) the 6100 or present a6400 make a great deal of sense. Don't Need IBIS/OSS inbody, you have such high ISOs that most people should be able to hold the camera sufficiently still.

Good review. I was disappointed thought we would see a crop sensor in a A7 body by now at the price they want for the A6600.

Do you remember the song in the beginning shots of this video?

please compare sony 6600 with 90d for sharpness, low light, dynamic range tests in video .

With each new model weight and size increases. I have an A7III so my A6000 is my walkaround camera that I need to be as light weight as possible.

The moment you said that you do not feel the buffer, without a uhs2 slot, i knew this is not gonna be much different than some product video

Ps. Adding that asterisk doesn’t change that fact just like this line.

Is the 1080p in video as soft as the a6500? I'm afraid yes...

Did they go full Canon here using their high milage 24mp sensor in their "flagship' A6600?

The 2.8 16-55mm is the most key addition for me. There must be some inherent challenges with this zoom range and optical stabilization, as much like the fujj counterpart, sony didn't put it in. Oh well nice to have more than f4.

Still scratching my head trying to figure out why they won't do something about that body design. They should at least make it a mini a7R III or IV body. They need to get rid of that 16:9 rear screen. I tried the a6400 for a week and thought I was going to keep it, but the more I thought about it, the more I knew I'd regret it if I didn't send it back and exchange it for an X-T30. Everyone has their personal preferences but I just couldn't get along with that body, even with the great AF...just couldn't do it. The X-T30 is working out much better for me personally and I love the raw files off the newer 26 MP sensor in the X-T30.

The larger battery was more than enough for me to upgrade.
