Before watching:

3^x + 3^x = 90 -> 2(3^x) = 90 -> 3^x = 45 = (5)(9)

Log_3(3^x) = log_3(45) = log_3(5)+2

X = 2 + log_3(5)

If you want it in a form easy to plug into your calculator, recall log_a(b) = log_c(b)/log_c(a), and use natural log:

X = 2 + ln(5)/ln(3)

This is approx. 3.465, if your teacher wants an exact number.

2*3^x = 90 => xlog3 = log 45 => x = (2log3 + log 5)/log3 => 2 + log5/log3.
