The Anglo-Saxons followed Locke.

The revolutionaries followed Rousseau.

The depravity of man is at once the most empirically verifiable reality but at the same time the most intellectually resisted fact (Malcolm Muggeridge)

The Christian concept of the fallen greatness of every human, the hope and striving for the utopia only God can finally realize - these ideas are foundational to the West.

This may have once been true, but looking as the same western democracies now, I believe that it too has a shelf life, just longer.

Thomas Sowell's Visions of the Anoited addresses this. The liberal uses the cosmic view perfect human. While the benighted understand human limitations.

Its easy to be successful as a country regardless of your economic system so long as your currency has the status of being a world reserve currency. Not that hard to be prosperous then.

How do you quantify realistic? Economic growth or progress does not imply a succesful society.

For western society not being able to show their body might be considered opression whereas in the other parts its considered indiscipline and not freedom

No constitution to date has remedied the concentration of political, financial, academic, and cultural power.

Break that up or face the end of constitutional democracy.

If I may, democracy, is in my view not yet all it could be.

We see in our history the growth out of one man rule, to representative rule, yet it was never meant to be a dual party system. The two party system developed due to the banking fraternity, which garantees some get wealthy and the rest pay, and so two parties arise under these conditions, those who wish to maintain the status quo, and those who seek to redistribute the wealth.
Fix the monetary evils and we can return to independent local representatives.
Further, having progressed from the rule of power, (kings and fudal Lords, barons prelates etc) to landed gentry voting, to then all men voting and then men and women, (egalitarianism) where we do not measure the voter, but simply bestow upon everyone a 'right' to an equal say ) other than convicted criminals, let us consider the justice or injustice of the present practices.
Is it just to give an 18 year old, who has contributed nothing to society as yet, the same say as someone who has paid taxes for 40 years.
You don't do it in a home, or a business or a company, (because it doesn't work and wouldn't be just) so why do it in a country?
I propose we give weight to votes, based on contribution.
I propose no vote until we have paid taxes for 8 years.
Then, for every 8 years of contribution, our vote take one greater weight.
So someone who has worked and paid taxes for 8 years has 1 vote, and someone who has paid tax for 40 years has a vote worth 5.
In this way we practice justice, in that we honour those who have contributed more, as we rightly should, and we give voting a value, its proper value, that it isnt for free.
We should also institute citizens initiated referendums.
