Squeeze? More like an economic chokehold.

I agree with kevin, but we're uncharted territory. Families will need to stick together to survive

I grew up knowing 18 and I'd be out on my own. Loved my parents for their honesty.

Kids need to grow up and act and be as adults and do what is right. Do not take advantage of your parents. Support yourself.

It wasn't capitalism that did this.

Yet all these "adults" can afford cell phones, tattoos, piercings, video games, 10.00 coffees and many more non essentials to live.

BIDENOMICS is Democrat's version of
" smash & grab"...

Well, then, when parents get old and need help, the kids will stick them in "nursing homes, " and the government will offer "medical assistance in dying" as your life is "complete."

But but but Biden says to report on the economy the right way and everything will be good. The Censorship News Network and Must Say No Biden Corruption Network need to work a little harder.

I'm 48 and still live with my parents. It all comes back to, jobs don't want to pay enough for people to afford to live. I never planned on needing to work 50-60 hours a week just to afford to exist...

I never had parents to financially support me, I had to figure it out. I got a weekend job aged 12 - which was legal then, and worked all my life here in the UK. Im now retired after working 55 years, still have a cheap phone / internet contract. I still buy a few good quality clothes each year in sales, never cheap fashion. Perhaps kids need to learn how to economise?

There's a big difference between helping your kid who is in legitimate need of help than the kid who can survive if proper budgeting is executed.

Not good for either parents of adult children. I am in my 60's now. But when I turned 18, my parents expected me to either get a full time job or work and go to college. Prepare myself to move out on my own. I did. Later I did move back and took my mom shopping and we went on weekend trips in So Cal. But then got married, now a widow.. My parents moved to No Cal. I have very good memories of me and my mom and our bond back then. Miss my parents terribly. Moving in briefly as an adult child can have some good benefits too. As long as adult kids pay rent and help out and for a short or specified period of time. Do no take advantage of your parents. They raised you to be strong adults and to leave the nest. That was their role. Do not deplete them of their hard earned money. It's not right. Pay your share, help cook, chores. Give back to your parents now!

Kids should leave home post education. And start out slow. Spend their own money. That’s life. Not the first time reality has been hard.

Slow down Kev. Boomer here. I can remember when I bought my first home interest rates were 17.5% and we had to have a 20% deposit which we had to verify that we had saved without any help from parents or family.

These nitwits who bought at zero percent should have known that after zero rates only go up and put a buffer in place. I have empathy, but no sympathy.

My 18 year old decided he didn't want to continue to go to school and understood that meant he had to move out. He saved his money and got a rental house, $1400/month. We helped him move and found free furniture to pick up in our truck for him. He's happy and independent and he's doing it. Parents have to be more realistic with their kids. He's already talked to the bank about what he needs to do in the next year in order to qualify for a home loan.

I have 3 kids just hitting 30 - all are single, 1 lives with room mates, 1 exchanges rent for fixing up the place, and the 3rd was renting my house from me at a reduced rate ( but still covering the mortgage on it, so not ridiculously low) - she just moved out last month to her own place independent of me. so all 3 are on their own but not.
