Good Pair Days - Sherrah Fiano 2021

Показать описание
There aren't many wine regions on the planet which can compare to our own McLaren Vale. It's one of those places where everything seems to slot together beautifully; the climate, the range of soil types, the grapes that flourish there... and perhaps most importantly of all, the winemakers who have made the Vale their home. One such talent is Alex Sherrah, a man who comes with a hefty pedigree and whose vision and skill is pretty much unrivalled in the region. From working at local icon Coriole, to numerous vintages overseas, he now focuses on his own label, Sherrah.
It's a newish project, only half a dozen vintages in. He manages things with his wife, and has the creative freedom to do what he wants. That means thinking outside the box, and to begin putting his focus into exploring lesser-used grape varietals (alongside several tried-and-tested Aussie favourites) and making the kinds of wines he loves to drink. Cheers to that!
This Fiano comes from the renowned Lacey vineyard in the Tatachilla sub-region of southern McLaren Vale. Only a few kilometres from the sea and almost at sea level, it is a cool maritime influenced area of the Vale. Delicious to drink - loads of green pear, fresh herbs, and zesty acid. It's succulent, slatey, creamy and all round lovely.
