What is a scorpion?

A scorpion is a long-tailed arthropod that is a member of the class Arachnida (spiders, scorpions, ticks, and mites). They are predatory creatures that are mostly found in dry or desert habitats. They use their pincers to capture prey and inject them with venom.

How to create a scorpion

To start with, you will want to cut out the three body parts of your scorpion. This can be done by cutting a long strip of cardstock and folding it in half. Then, use scissors to cut one V shape for the head and two V shapes for the pincers. Next, open up the folded paper and place each piece on top of the other. Now, you should have a four-layer paper stack. Next, fold each layer in half at the width of where you just cut the two V shapes for the pincers. After that, take one layer from either side of your pile and tuck it into itself so that when you unfold both layers they are touching each other again but now they are not inside themselves anymore!

What materials do you need?

First, you'll need a metal scorpion, which can be found at your local arts and crafts store. Second, you'll need paintbrushes in various sizes. Third, you'll need acrylic paints in various colors. Fourth, you'll need a canvas to paint on. Fifth, prepare to get messy!

Create your own scorpion with match sticks

The first step to create a scorpion is to make the body using the match sticks. All of the match sticks should be cut in half and then put together in order to form a straight line. It is important that you use eight match sticks for each leg, so you will need 16 match sticks total for the body of your scorpion. Take one of the legs and curl it around until it meets its corresponding leg on the opposite side. This will make one side of your scorpion. Continue doing this with all of the legs, curling them around until they meet their other leg on the other side. Continue curling them up from there until you reach the top of your scorpion.
