EQOA LFG Episode 02 (November 28, 2015)

In this Episode we are joined by Jonathan (Wreck), Matt (Rezikai), and Bob "Randall" /Condamor, as we explore Tethelin, its classes and nearby points of interest, discussing a variety of topics including Save State Improvements, and much more...

This channel is dedicated to the game called Everquest Online Adventures. The game was released on the Playstation 2 February 11, 2003 and closed on March 29, 2012 after nine years of full operations. The community always felt tightly knitted together, the world oozed with colorful content and the game play was addictive. EQOA may have shut down but the community is still there and the following grows. People are working hard at bringing the game back to life. This project runs similar to Project 99 where everything will be free! Our goal on this channel is to keep people aware of any changes and help the community stay engaged.

LFG is a podcast that will have different community members featured on the show. These episodes will have discussions based on things such as zones, grinding spots, quests, classes, races, hidden areas, music and much more. We are hoping to have giveaways and contests based on our following. We claim no rights to the game, just nerds who love EQOA!

Been so busy lately guys, just sitting down to watch this now.

EDIT: Great show! Glad to see Bo come on! I loved his old videos back in the day. I actually had plans to get back into the game after seeing his content but sadly didn't get my shit together fast enough and we got shut down. I want to get on the show with you guys but it's really hard because i work weekends. I want to be there during the big announcement though! Consider doing it on a week day or even a sunday night after 7pm eastern and i'm there!

I didn't even play EQOA but, I was a huge EQ fan and still am. I have been keeping an eye on this project and cant wait for it to come to life so I can play yet another great EQ game with what looks like a super cool community. Cant believe I never played this when it was live!

I remember Rezikai, his female warrior was one of the first characters i met and grouped with on Hodstock. I remember 3 things from our xp groups together. That he had that sweet SM tank robe. He Dual boxed a 60 necro to boost damage. And we had a rose of renewal drop for us at kappas. I had no idea what it was when
looting it but he sure did. Big Thanks to rezakai if you read this, meeting you kinda Got me hooked into the game untill around 1 year before servers shut Down. Hodstock Shinchan Druid

GREAT job guys, once again really awesome podcast. Enjoyed the revisit to Tethelin - one of my first toons was an elf and have lots of memories at the bee hive and Thedruk and trying to figure out how the heck to get to Rivervale.

Was hoping you'd mention Boss Boltug - the big orc who spawned a tthe bottom of Thedruk. That mob was kind enough to provide both my first introduction to training (someone dragged him and the rest of the dungeon up to massacre us lowbies XPing out front lol) as well as ninja looting (some levels later we made it all the way to the bottom for revenge and took him down - only for some caster to loot the sword he dropped and then log. The rest of us were like... where did he go? why did he do that?? must have accidentally disconnected lol)

p.s. I am sure sea foam soiled robe dropped from any marine/water mob levels 16-20 :)

Discussion question idea:
Should modifications be made to the game? (Speed hacks/teleport)

Personally I think that the game should be as unaltered as possible I don't mind not being able to teleport around, in fact I actually enjoyed running through the world, and the coach system. I also don't think run speed was too slow.

They're nice for the savestates but I think they should be left out for the final server.

One of the things i miss so much aboit eqoa. Was the quests getting lost n killed n shit lol some quests were challenging for sure.. They were no jokes. The new mmos have no real quest they show u were to go n shit i hate that. The other tjing i enjoy very much was grinding all day gettin cms in a group. I miss all that. Hopefully eqoa comes back to live.

I had a Slayer, master armor craftered human gatorwere, that I crafted a full set of dex/str/int gear to grind CMs with in my all necro healer groups. We would virtually 1 shot all those insta spawning gobs

I had all Level 60s on Hodstock, Kengar (dwarf war), Vwelior (elf rang), Necken (gno nec), Vykar (delf enc), Lellios (delf rge), Magken (elf mage). Weekend Warriors guild. I miss this game much!
