Sweet Trooper…awesome buy. We bought a 95 Trooper (3.1L Diesel with Intercooler) and had to pretty much replace all the suspension and steering components…in SE Asia. Troopers are great vehicles!

my dad has one, it has lots of problems tho, engine needs an overhaul, interior molds, broken 4WD, and many more most likely lol. Not sure if it'll ever get fixed at this point.

I have the S version 1997 Trooper with 132, 000 original miles. This replaced my 2001 version, which I should not have junked at 250K. Love these things!

Did you get the misfire figured out? Just wanted to say mine had a misfire and my mechanic was bolting parts on till I was crazy. Nothing worked, and he said maybe the injectors are euchred don’t waste more money.
I got looking at it and stripped back the wires going to the cylinders(coils) and whaddya know, the wire was broken inside the sheathing. Rigged up a jump wire…no more misfire!
Wanted to suggest this as I was losing my mind till I found it, nd did not need to spend all that money, cheers
