I thought Bolton had a reasonably organised defense in the opening stages, and the first couple of goals were drawn out by errors which were punished. Over the game though, they just couldn't keep up - excellent showing for Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly and Nichols. The bar was set low for a full debut for Stirling, but he was professional and performed excellently, also really nice to see some minutes for Kiwior and Jesus. A shame Jesus didn't manage to score, we know the Jesus from his first half season before the WC is still in there, if he can find the form

Disagree with the take that the Carabao is just an appetiser. We havent won anything. Getting this squad to taste success should be the Number 1 priority of the club. Rotate for the level of competition on the oppsosing team. If its strong opposition, put out a strong enough team to beat it.

From someone complaining about "missed window opportunity" now saying we have enough depth squad, is really interesting.

This probably shows in a way that the window was not as bad as some people think.

We bought quality players that suit our game while also giving youth an opportunity.

Nwaneri was good, Skelly was good as well.

Even the young right back was more than decent.
