The Saudis are investing in EVs because they realize that the oil reserves are nearly depleted. There were never an infinite number of dinosaurs. While many think that the oil reserves are in-exhaustible, the Saudis see the data and realize that they will be out of business in about 60 years at the current rate of depletion. That is the reality. And that reality is why they are smart enough to invest in a different future.

Because Saudi Arabia doesn’t build their own cars and they want to have a lucid factory in their country owned by them… And Lucid is a luxury brand to which they want to expand into self driving cars and other affordable electric vehicles

Their stock prices been plummeting since '21. It does look likes it has so much potential but i presume compertition from other manufacturer is problem for them.
