Sometimes it's all about the adventure but with views and history like this we had to grab some shots. Here's a peek into our two-day rip out into coastal Alaska.
We got to check out what's left of Portlock, where Port Chatham Packing got its start. Having a descendant from a Portlock family with us made this whole trip extra special! Thanks, Max!

Capt. Hans got us through pea soup fog and gnarly, full-pucker seas. After exploring multiple landing sites, we found giant, rusted out milling equipment, cabins from the original stead, and a few more recent builds. Despite keeping an eye out for #bigfoot, we didn't see him. Accounts from former townsfolk don't mention bigfoot, despite the lore, but if he wanted to hide this would be a great spot.
