Aerial view of gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights

Five people have been hospitalised and 25 others sustained injuries following a gas pipeline fire at Jalan Putra Harmoni, Putra Heights, in Subang Jaya this morning.

Many years ago while I was at Putra Heights Sime Property Gallery during the launch of a new project, a stranger (my guardian angel?) pointed out that the project is close to a gas pipeline. Thank God.

This is why EIA report is important. EIA report will tell you what kind of dissater that will happen if the pipeline burst and caught fire but the local council and developer will try to hide the EIA report. All construction especially living area should not be bulit within 10 km radius but who care about this. If nothing happen it ok but if something happen like this, everybody will start pointing figure and try to find scape goat for this. The local council and the developer should be blame for this although building the house was done years ago. Open back the EIA report and look into the details.

Now malaysia got the international media's attention with this pipeline explosion. Thing is, its near a residential area, how come?

The relevant government authorities, gas pipeline operator, and housing developers must take responsibility for what they have approved and thought is safe in paper. Reality lessons learned today must be used to prevent future repetition.

Sapa kata kita xda pengalaman api besar nih? Pasir Gudang ada beberapa kali jadi. Titan Chem etc. port Tg Langsat pun ada jadi dulu tak silap 2009. Paling besar kat Bintulu 26Dec 1998.

Guys that’s another high rise projects on going right beside the Indian temple nearby there, also near to pipeline~ and they just cover it as small reserved forest.
Those who planning to buy, please BEWARE!
