I love doing a front lever and then pulling to an inverted hang, and then going back to full front lever. You do need a solid front lever to start training that tho but it's definitely a solid exercise!

Personal notes:

4:00 Front Lever Pull -> Front Lever Negative via lowering eccentrics; do these in form of sets and reps

Progressions: Tuck -> Straddle -> Full


5:00 He calls it an “inverted hang”, not sure which is the correct name for that exercise

I think dynamic are more realistic for regular training and static are good for periodic testing

Thanks so much for your videos. I've been watching them for a few years, on and off. My lifestyle of activity hasn't been on and off, however. I'm 65 in a couple of months and I'm able to do physical activities I never could before, thanks to proper bodyweight exercise.

The way I got the front and back lever was by doing mostly band lever pulls laying on a bench using two bands strapped to a high bar so I could pull down even deeper.

. Front levers laying on your back pulling your arm down and behind the body for reps
. Back lever laying on your stomach pulling down and in front of the body for reps
. Both exercises can be done kneeling or standing as well
. Both exercises can be done with dumbbells on a bench too
