I remember in media studies and our lecturer showed this ad in class when we learning about advertising (it was also the time of the Superbowl) and the entire class just let out a collective groan. ASMR has come a long way from the stigma of bad weird sound porn to the socially accepted weird sound porn that helps the insomniac and the depressed live life. It also helps that ASMR, although hard to grasp for those who don't have it, it's undeniable when you do have it. So when everyone else groaned their buts off, I got instant tingles and I'm sure many of my classmates did too. ASMR is peculiar that way.
