🌸 HOW TO CREATE ASIAN SIMS + CC LINKS 🌸 [The Sims 4 CAS Tutorial]

Hi everyone!
To be honest with you, I'm quite nervous to post this video, but it was requested and I thought I'd just share some of my favourite tips for creating Asian looking sims!

I say this on the video too; The Sims is a game, and sims don't have nationality or race. So this video is based on looks only and is very much using stereotypes as a tool!

This was so helpful! I always try and include a lot of different ethnicities into my CAS videos but I obviously don't want to offend or sometimes find it hard to determine what actually makes a ethnicities unique if that makes sense? That cheekbone and lips advice really helped me. I was close to having my Asian sim look like the genuine thing, and once I corrected those things I'm pretty sure I'm all good. Also S-Club has a face overlay specifically for Asian characters that I've been using. It's pretty good, you should check that out too.

Ohhkayy here goes! I loved this video, very informative especially on Japanese beauty standards! First off, you did a great job with these sims and this tutorial. Both sims are so cute! The presets are to die for, I actually added them into my game right away when I saw them on the video LOL! (I shouldn't get more CC but yanno I can't help it.) I want to say one thing about skintones - it's true that East Asian people have very different skintones. However at least in South Korea, having a very pale skin is seen beautiful. I did some research a while back - some South Korean beauty products have skin whitening agents in them. Not saying everyone does that but it's definitely a thing. You can see how many celebrities have a very pale skin.


I think the Asian makeup look has a name - 'drunken' look if you know what I mean, puffy pink cheeks & nose and a cute lip tint. The cute face also has a name, I believe it's the 'pouty' face? I don't know, I'm not sure :'D Indeed western makeup tends to be stronger, East Asian makeup style is very natural. Also about the streetwear style - I'm under the impression Japan has more versatile styles whereas in South Korea people wear more of the same stuff. Never been to Asia though so this is just what I've seen in the media :D


Also a cool thing I learned about a while back about genetics! There are people with hazel or even green eyes in Asia. They're not all that rare.


Plastic surgery is indeed a trend, V-shaped chin, double eyelids and all. It's cool and all as long as people do it because they want to and don't feel pressured to do it. I realise this isn't really related to the video though.


This is a very interesting topic and I could talk or write about this for hours. Maybe I'll stop here for now lol, this comment is quite the novel already. Anyway. Loved watching this! I'd love to see more stuff like this. Maybe different street fashion styles in Japan? Gyarus and lolitas and such? It's always interesting to learn about different cultures! xx

thank you so much! i recently just lost my entire game (and my 2-3 years worth of custom content) when my computer broke, and i’m getting my new one hopefully today. i never really played with many Asian sims because i didn’t quite understand how to make them, and this video helped A LOT. I love playing with diverse sims and I cant wait to start playing with East-Asia inspired sims as well :)

I'm living in Taiwan which is located in east Asian.
Some people make Asian sims by their stereotypes.
Therefore, those sims don't look like any Asian l knew at all.
(That made me feel disappointed.)
