XSR700/MT07/FZ07 stator cover removal/installation

This is a guide to removing and installing the stator cover on the Yamaha MT/FZ 07. All bolts were torqued to 10Nm (7ft lbs) of torque. The 2 bolts at the bottom of the stator cover were the only ones that required loctite. A new gasket is necessary for a new stator cover. The copper washer and O Rings are strongly recommended as well. However, not mandatory especially if your bike has low miles.
This is just video on how I did it. It’s not the only way of doing this. Please refer to the service manual for proper factory guidance on installation and removal.

Hey how did you get the torx screws out for the sensor, I've tried to undo them by hand they just seem to be stripping the bolts themselves. Did you have a special tool to do it?

What did you use, or what works best for cleaning off the old gasket. There's a residue that's pretty on there and trying to clean it is getting everywhere 😅

How'd you end up getting the bearing out without damaging it?
