Sye, I've the same issue: I rush with my response rather than truly listening with heart patiently. I must pray in those moments for God to give serenity so I can calm down and then trust upon the words from Holy Spirit.; that they'll be always given and will be always correct. I surrender my tongue to him so he may speak through me words of life, and illuminating truth, shining the amazing grace of Christ.

Why is God necessary for reasoning? I struggle to understand how that claim can be made. It feels like this apologetic is about closing down discussion rather than opening up to a sharing of ideas. Does this actually change minds?

No-one has ever managed to give any good evidence for the existence of God. In light of this, Atheism is not irrational, it is inevitable.

Apología, have you heard of or seen "unlearn the lies"? i just came across it through someone on an apología page. Heavy on the Law. Of course, We Love the Holy Law. But have you seen any of their presentations; 'clean' and 'unclean' foods, (Knowing all foods are clean when we give thanks - i can't tell their stance) haven't seen any distinction about ceremonial.. etc.? ? ?

yes, that is the literal reading - the fool has said in his heart "No ....God!"
But by saying this they have themselves as their own god, putting themselves on the throne of their hearts which is idolatry.
The very word atheism (from atheos; Greek) was first applied (I think) to those like Christians who would not believe in the gods (Emporer) of Rome.

Why believing in talking snakes, talking donkeys, flying horses, moon spliting, magic, spells, all that nonsense, is considered rational? You can debate that with another religious people and label each other as irrational for eternity with no conclusion.

Does anyone know if there’s a passage in the Bible saying that the book is done or finished? A Mormon mentioned while talking that they believe the Book of Mormon was an extension of the Bible and I couldn’t think of a scripture. That it told tells more about Jesus, which it probably does but I don’t think it’s inspired by God.

At the end of the day if The Holy Spirit isn't working on someone's heart they won't believe. They spend a lot of time on how to do apologetics right but praise God he used the simple working man to preach the gospel because a great, eloquent argument won't save anyone.

One questions, If a member of the LDS Church made the exact same argument, would you accept that you are borrowing from their Worldview? If they said they would not put God on Trial would you accept that?

Hey Jeff I have a very important question in my personal life I'd love to hear an answer from you ( forgive me if you've already covered this in the past ) but what happens if somebody is born in a whole different country and they are only taught about their religion and haven't even HEARD of the name Jesus... and then they die... What do you believe God would do knowing he put them in a place without knowing "the way and the truth" ? Do they go to hell for not repenting to Jesus? It's something that bothers me a lot and it's very confusing.

I'm gonna admin a platform for pure logic and Socratic inquiry to allow those who've a ticket of grace to arrive at absolute truth. Presuppositional Jesus.

Jesus removed my blinders as I lay dying last November as a science worshipping atheist Jew who didn't want God, but the amazing grace of Christ healed me and pulled me from darkness into brilliant truth.

It’s hard for me to get past the inherent circular reasoning used with this apologetic. I get that you can expose the circular reasoning of the atheist, and the necessity to argue from the Gospel rather than trying to reason our way to it, but how do you effectively minister to an atheist who refuses to accept the Bible as an authority? To me it seems that when guys like Frank Turek are able to appeal to one’s reasoning it opens the proverbial door to the atheists reasoning where he must admit that God is the only logical answer to the cosmological dilemma and infinite regression.
