My ex landlord tried to charge me a $70 cleaning fee before I moved in his
4 bedroom condo! Oops
3 bedroom condo, 4th bedroom was unpermitted
( sometimes unpermitted work turns out🔥🚒🔥🚒🔥🚒🔥🚒🔥🤬 ) I lost everything except my life!

Renters beware of owners / landlords! Know your rights as a tenant, take a magnifying glass to the lease, check out civil codes, rules and regulations, statues, health and safety! So that being said if the room is an addition and there's no certificate of occupancy then the lease doesn't exist! If the landlord / owner gets caught who cares cuz you're going to get paid! Everything! And I mean everything!
$California civil code 1608
