As of October 20, silver has reached a fresh 12-year high of 33.71 dollars and is up by over 46 percent since it started the year at 23.02 dollars. This is an exceptionally strong weekly close for the gray metal, and market participants have pointed out that we may finally be witnessing a weakening of the bullion banks’ influence on the silver market. Silver reached this historic high on a Friday, which is usually when the manipulation of the metals market peaks. It is also surprising that silver easily glided past the manipulators’ 32.50 dollar wall.

In a recent interview with Palisades Gold Radio, Michael Oliver, The founder of Momentum Structural Analysis, expressed strong sentiments about the silver market and an impending bigger rally, which he says will take the metal past 60 dollars per ounce. Throughout the year, Michael Oliver has been expressing similar strong sentiments about the silver market and often compared the metal’s performance to its performance in the early 1970s when silver underperformed gold by two years before staging a furious catch-up rally in 1974, surging by around 125 percent between late 73 and early 74. In his interview, the veteran analyst predicts it’s time for another furious catch-up rally.
