Beat the Press: Gawker Shocker, Will Lawsuit Hurt Free Media?

When Hulk Hogan won a massive lawsuit against Gawker, it was hard to feel much sympathy for the website, which had published parts of a sex tape featuring the former wrestler. But now we know Hogan's suit was financed by PayPal founder Peter Thiel, whose strategy for exacting revenge on the media should make the rest of us nervous.
