Why is everybody so mad? Christina DOES scream. That doesn't mean she doesn't have a nice voice.  It all started back when she was known as the little girl with the big voice.  She raised her larynx and pushed the sound out to create a false-mature sound.  She had a naturally pretty voice, so it worked for her. Then she did that song from Mulan and blew everybody away. After her debut album, she screams in all of her live performances. Christina also has noticeable trouble with the high-belt that used to be so impressive sounding. We all know the vocal problems that hit Mariah and Whitney later in their careers, but Christina started her career using her voice improperly. Listen to the others when they were her age. You may enjoy her sound, but she DOES scream.

I still can't comprehend what Christina was trying to achieve with that note at 1:05. A whistle? Falsetto? Head voice? Whatever she was doing it was a literal scream like when a little girl doesn't get what she wants. Her screaming is ruining her once-beautiful voice; her fans think she is amazing because she can sustain a scream for long periods of time but regardless it's still screaming, not singing.

Scream is different. Xtina's voice is so natural, she can control it. She is not screaming. She is hitting a controlled high notes though she can't sing high notes with vibrato. She has a great vocal power.
