I've spent my entire adult life helping people change their life. Helping people improve their income, improve their position at work, or build their business. But when I was given this book "Think and Grow Rich", and told to do exactly what the man told me to do, what he was really doing was showing me how to change my paradigm. A paradigm is a multitude of ideas in your subconscious mind that control almost all of your habitual behavior, and almost all of your behavior is habitual. Get the book. Get it, study it. Two monks walking along a stream encounter an old woman unable to cross.  She begs them to help, so one carries her on his back to the far side. Once across and on the bank the old woman berates the monks for getting her dress wet, for taking too long to cross, for making it difficult and dangerous. She doesn't thank them. She goes her way.
