Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram back after outage - BBC News

Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are back up and running after an outage that lasted almost six hours, Facebook says.
It blamed an internal technical issue, which not only affected Facebook's services, but reportedly also employees' work passes and email.

But the company said there was "no evidence that user data was compromised".

Lesson: don’t attach accounts to social media.

I never do. I feel like it’s an invasion of privacy. This outage didn’t affect me at all. It’s nice to not be dependent on social medias. Peaceful to say the least. YouTube is definitely a different beast. That’s my poison but I’d totally be okay if it shut down.
