Square Body No Crank, No Start Investigation, Problem Solved? c10 c20 c30 k10 k20 k30 c/k trucks

Today's video will be on my Investigation on a no crank no start problem on my squarbody c30, which will be the same for most all c10, c30, c20, c/k, k10, k30, k20 trucks and most GM build cars.

I have a '89 k2500, went to the store jumped back in the truck to head home turned the key and nothing. Went straight to YouTube found your video but had no clicking, luckily I had some 12/2 Romex in the bed and jumped the siloniod starting the truck. Man did that feel good!!! Thanks for the video!

My Brother in Christ thank you! This is exactly what was wrong. I thought it was the starter solenoid because old switch worked half the time. I installed the switch and she starts up every time. Thanks again for the video!

Same symptoms here, turn key and brake warning shows up, no sound. Though I had a dead spot in the starter. Knocking on starter itself did the trick to start it. So if you are not able to jump the solenoid. Knock that starter. Time to get a new one.. or repair it!

Hey buddy thanks for the video. I am dealing with the same thing except for me, I replaced the starter and the ignition switch, and it STILL won’t turnover. Any ideas?

I wander if the reverse would cause it not to turn off? That's what mine's doing, when I twist the key, the truck will continue to run, sometimes after turning it a few times it'll finally shut off, but I'm guessing this is beginning to fail. BTW, I have an 84 c20.

Hello I have a friend has a 78 Chevrolet pickup got the same problem but you got fire to the starter wire to the ignition it just won't start I'm thinking it's the neutral safety switch like you showed on your video he's tried everything nothing going to start any ideas

Having same issue on my 82 c10 plus now it can shift without pressing break if i had to guess my neutral saftey is blown to hell

When I try to start my 83 c10 I don't hear anything but its getting power because my fans and lights all turn on, And I charged my batter up

My truck solenoid stuck and kept the starter turning after turning the key off; due to the battery sitting all winter.
It resulted in the no crank..
The battery should have atleast clicked at 12.4 volts..
It was my battery...
Thought it was good because it read 12.45 volts, but I had static electricity built up and it wouldn't charge past that.
I unhooked it from the truck, then charged it and it went to 13 volts and I hooked it back up and it fired right up.
