'Let's Eliminate the Girls' - Women in Engineering

The first clip is from a 1950s promotional video trying to encourage young men to pursue engineering (and obviously discourage women). Even though women engineering students has increased from .04% in 1966 to 16% today, there's still a huge gender gap.
Bots High features high school girls who build kick ass robots and go on to MIT, Duke, and many other engineering schools.

I don't get the point. Who in the world cares what gender an engineer is? Do we care what gender the school janitor is? In fact people are now able to change their gender, or even pick what courses to take in school, and even get any job they want. If you don't get what you want, just litigate!

I'm sure if we saw the entire original video this is based on, the" Let's Eliminate the Girls" was likely taken completely out of context. Girls who build kick ass robots! Is that a feat because it is so shockingly amazing that females could build such complicated things??? I don't think so. There should be more girls in engineering, and there should also be more girls riding bulls in the rodeo, or collecting refuse on a garbage truck. Certainly girls are also underrepresented in those careers. Go Girls!
