Butler is a city in the county seat of Butler County, Pennsylvania. Butler County was founded in 1800. One of Butler's claims to fame is that it is home to the original military "Jeep" that made American forces mobile during World War II. Butler downtown has a very upbeat artsy feel. With great Pubs and shops. The buildings are rich in history. I enjoyed my visit to downtown Butler, stopped by Vintage Coffeehouse and struck up a conversation with the owner, nice guy. And the coffee was great.

The courthouse is still a remarkable structure. The County's geography is interesting. Now all we have to do is bring back the Hot Dog Shoppe.

The city of Butler is not that great. I live there the sidewalks are terrible and I'm handicapped and there is only one business in downtown that is handicapped accessible ( Rite Aid ). Really nothing to do there. I don't know what city government does with their tax dollars but they don't fix the streets or sidewalks.
