Good review. I've been lucky as last year Samsung in UK 🇬🇧 gave me the Dex free with the Note 8 📱 👍. It's the circular model one. Wanna swap? 😉

But seriously, it's a great innovation. Imagine you can take your phone 📱 around on holiday, visit friends and family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Watch Netflix, play games, view movies on YouTube, catch up on work emails etc as long a HDMI source is accessible! 👌
Apple iPhone 🍏 😂 can't do that!

I tried using a DeX at work for a week. While it can do almost everything, I still found myself zipping back to my laptop to do work jobs.

DeX is a great idea, and everyone's mileage may vary.

For work, I'm sure if my company had properly setup Citrix and virtual desktops, it would be a no brainer. But it doesn't.

For home, looking at taking out my wife's laptop, buying a monitor, and using our phones for desktop solutions (he has a P20 Pro; I have a Note 8).

So informative review. Thanks. Were you able to setup middle key to work on your Logitech mouse? I have similar mouse but none of the keys are middle by default. Not sure if Logitech options software is available for Android.
