The more I listen to Vaporwave, the more the past hurts to look at.

1:13 - This is my favorite part. I could imagine that I'm in the middle of the city or mall with some dazzling lights during the night.

I love this song. Whenever I listen to it it kind of brings me back to younger times, when everything was far easier; but for some reason more than just longing nostalgia; It's sad, the sadness of this song telling me that those moments are now gone and embedded only in my memory, entire days playing outside with your friends, exchanging pokemon cards and playing videogames, late afternoon birthdays, waking up in your bed, hugs from mom, kisses from grandma, your middle-aged neighbor passing by with products that were obviously designed in the late 80's mid 90's.

It makes me think of many things that happened back then, and how optimistic we used to be, how bright we saw the future; and when I look at today, it's all bleak. Entire days at home, looking at the dusty box with the pokemon cards you once exchanged so vividly and wondering were your old NES/SNES might be, a simple hang-out with the few friends you have left, waking up alone, longing for a hug from mom, missing the kisses from grandma, your once middle-aged neighbor old and frail or deceased, looking how everything is being censored "for your safety", how every word can mean jail or unemployment...what happened to us man...what happened...

When you like the slowed down sample a LOT better than the original.

God I love old footage like this, doesn't matter what it's of or how old it is but it's like a foggy cracked window into another time or something.

Just those few low-quality and noise filled pixels for that brief second is enough to arouse so many questions.
Where is this? What does it look like now? When was this footage taken? Why was it taken? Who took it? What were those people/that person like? Is this person still alive, or is this simply part of if not their only humble legacy that allows this niche group of people to know that they ever even existed.

I come back to this over and over. This version is magnificent.

I love this good old classic vaporwave. Nobody makes stuff like this anymore and I miss it. I remember in 2017 there was endless albums just like this to listen to and I can’t find them anymore. I like the new direction the genre has taken (besides basically dying) but I miss the classics.

I love this song. Way too much! The middle of the song, after he says “my sweet little girl”… it makes me think of the nighttime. It makes me think of the glittering skyline, the moon and the stars hanging over the city. No matter how bad I feel, there’s a life for me out there. As long as this song stays in my head, there always will be. This song reminds me that there’s always hope for the future, that there’s a moment for me and I have to find it.
Someone is living the nightlife out there. Someone is having the greatest time they’ll ever have. And tomorrow, I think it should be you.

This makes me feel like I've been stuck in a simulation of the future my entire life, and this song is telling me to wake up

0:30 onwards; the synths sound amazing. Kind of reminds me of a 80's Bollywood movie hah

The beginning reminds me of 'the investigation scene' in an 80's mystery...perhaps 'Fletch'. ;-)

On that slow keyboard part, I'm about to do some esoteric pop locking to open up my chakra and release the power of Future Funk prana!
