She suffered such severe hypoglycemia that her husband and daughters often called 911 and gave her emergency glucagon shots several times a month. She prayed for a better life. Then she came to the Diabetes Research Institute for an islet cell transplant. Now Karla has been living insulin-free for years!

Same thing happens to my husband, he gets spots in his eyes.We got him a cgm so it pings my cell phone now if its getting low or creeping up. Now I take care of him. I wish we could get him an islet cell transplant!

Are you still insulin free? How is you were regularly hypoglycemic? Seems the only way is if you continuously injected more than required to cover the amount of sugars consumed.
