Great list! A couple other games with demos that are tagged as metroidvanias on Steam (not sure how accurate those tags are though): 8Doors, HAAK, Gastova, and Raider Kid and the Ruby Chest. I'm not sure if these demos are currently available specifically because of the Next Fest, or if the devs just happened to recently make them available, but I'll be trying them out soon myself, along with a lot of games from this video, especially Transmute, Transiruby, and Haiku!

If I may recommend a game for you to look at, please check out the trailer + demo for Projections. I don't know where it would fit in your videos but I would love to see this game get some love. It's currently sitting at under 40 reviews, all positive. It was made by one person, and he made an amazing soundtrack as well.

I would of recommended Noita but it's already had enough coverage.

I really thought Transiruby was coming out on September 30th this year, but apparently that was just for the demo.

Itorah and Aeterna Noctis look really promising, but most of the rest of these just don't look like my cup of tea at all or look way too similar to their influences to have much of an individual voice. While being a clone game doesn't necessarily mean it will be mediocre or bad, it does at least on the surface make it seem less likely that it will actually be good.
