Update: sony have apparently rolled back the PSN requirement, however the video is still relevant due to trust issues I mention.

This absolutely was a global class action lawsuit brewing.

You can easily make the argument that since they sold it in countries that don't allow psn accounts, only to require that months after the refund window would be up...that's theft.

So regardless of what their store page said about the PSN accounts. The simple fact they sold the game in countries where that would not be allowed shows that it was an attempt to secure then bulk of the sales before implementing a requirement that would remove access to a large chunk of players.

A lawsuit that honestly should probably still happen as their reversal on the matter doesn't change the crime they attempted to commit.
