The Summit Winery of Westmoreland, NH Introduces Sangiovese - Enjoy!

New Hampshire is full of history and this grape has had an interesting history too. It was first found and cultivated in the wilderness. Then as time passed, it blossomed and became quite unique. Full body, medium plus tannins and a long smooth finish make this Sangiovese a contender for any occasion. Hints of over ripe cherry, dark chocolate and smoked pepper make this perfect for pairing with game meats, BBQ, pork, Bolognese or a delicious piece of chocolate cake.

The Summit Winery, once a tobacco barn, turned gift barn was then transformed into a one of Westmoreland’s favorite restaurants and is now one of New England’s top Wineries to visit. The Summit Winery hosts grape varietals sourced from the US and around the world and its own vineyard.  Darren and Judy Horn have been making great wines for many years.
