LYRICS:
One morning
As the leaves were falling
I found my life leaving
Couldn't help but calling
And he must have heard my cry
Turning to me with a tear in his eye
One autumn
Parting came relieving
She ran up behind me
Poorly hid her grieving
Come wailing wind chill my heart
Come the rain fall on me as I depart
Life left us
Yesterday's outshining
Our any tomorrow
With a silver lining
Remember a distant day
For even memories may fade away
Come lay down
By my side and sing me
An ode to the fallen
Make it come inside me
Do you ever think thereof
While the cold wind weeps the lay of our love
Come lay down
By my side and sing me
An ode to the fallen
Make it come inside me
Do you ever think thereof
While the cold wind weeps the lay of our love

The people here who actually are serious musicians and write their own music will see how good this song is. From a songwriters standpoint, this song is a gem.

Like i've always said, no other genre produces better love songs than metal.

Why does everyone seem to hate this so much? Like Tyr aren't allowed to do a ballad or someshit?

Valkyrja was such a badass album, I enjoyed every track on it, and got to admit, this one is a pretty powerful ballad

THIS WAS IT. The song that got me into metal, back in 2016. My goodness. This is very important to me. And still very beautiful after all this time :))

Присядь рядом
Прижмись ко мне и спой мне
Балладу о павших.
Пусть они останутся со мной.
И ты их будешь помнить.

I don't know why so much hate.
This song is AMAZING!! Yeah, Týr is a Viking Metal band, with slaughter, nordic gods and that stuff. But that doesn't mean they can't try to do something like this. And this is a thousand times better than these pop songs everyone is saying this is.

I love everything about this song. The musical composition, the powerful and harmonizing vocals, their range and rasp, instruments, just everything. It's very well composed and performed. A rarity to hear songs of this caliber.

This is just...majestic. The vocals, the instruments... it was all so poetic

Liv Kristine is the best female voice in metal..there's no doubt about it, she sounds amazing singing everything!

I auditioned for tyr with this song for a USA tour then covid happened. It was just when they needed a guitar player. Great song to learn.
