EASIEST Alatreon DIREWING + Plunderblade Farm Armour/Weapons - No Kills Needed, 100+ Drops Per Hour

Hi all, I tried a few ways to cheese wing breaks, and this was the most convenient overall. The kinsect works but is a little too slow for my liking, plus it's tough to keep the wings tenderised (needed for wallbangs). LBG is better but had a similar issue, so in the end I settled for frost craft HBG

Using a mixture of palico plunderblade with this clutch claw HBG spam move makes the wing breaks extremely easy. The only difficult bit is landing the flinch shots, but with a little bit of practise you can get it really consistently. Don't forget to grab the shinies and spam your palarang/plunderblade

I have a spreadsheet which collects all sorts of data on Monster Hunter World Iceborne that people ask about a lot - things like the materials needed to upgrade the best charms (e.g. handicraft, expert etc), a list of all the guiding land monster drops and gathering nodes (plus it's searchable), what materials you need for every possible augment (attack, affinity, defence, health, slot, element/status) in the game, etc:

It also includes things like a list of ALL the 4 slot decorations (including even the rare 12 ones which ONLY drop from sealed feystones) so you know the best deco's to aim for when farming. It even has detailed images for the guiding land gathering nodes (the one's that drop materials like the guiding dragonbones/crystals etc) which you need for custom weapon upgrades/augments!
My list of guiding land drops can be sorted either by drop type (so it finds the monster to fight for a particular part) or you can use it to just find the parts belonging to any monster (no more pulling your hair out over how to get those Enchanting Finehide/Trancehide for your health augments!). This goes up to and includes the tempered elders (speaking of which, check out my 5 slot tempered investigation farming macro if you haven't already!)
It also has a Safi'Jiiva relic checklist to easily monitor which awakened weapons you're missing from the new siege!

Thanks for the vid! As a side note, I can confirm that it's possible to get the azure dragonspires from the 4 Palico Gather reward items after ending the quest. I unbelievably had mine gather two spires with the 4 rewards.

For the tail just use a switch axe axe mode quick uppercut while having partbreaker and the axe mode buff and trust me you will get his ass in like a minute...

I have been doing a lot of runs as follows:
1. Sticky LBG with fortify + partbreaker 3: put mines during KOs, you should be able to easily break wings and horn before first EJ. You should have enough ammo to last until EJ. Cart to first EJ (obviously).
2. Elemental fire+ice LBG (with fortify): finish the fight. If you die more than 3-4 mins after first EJ you can even eat again for safeguard and still have a trump card.

I did a PB at 13-14mins, I was quite happy with it.

You can easily get a weapon in a couple hours tops, and if you want the armor take a sever weapon and cut the tail. Brilliant guide considering one of the best ways to beat alatreon is its own lbg.

I'll pin any useful info I remember / you suggest here:
The wings share health/tenderise status - softening one does both, and hitting either works towards breaking both
I forgot to mention it in the video, but the horn break drop and palico drops can all be the rare drop (Azure Dragonsphire)
I'm not sure if you need to beat it once to unlock the upgrades in the smithy - I didn't check until I beat it once so idk - but the upgrades themselves dont need tails

Farming Alatreon with plunder blade gets about 4 material per attempt (pre-instadeath). 2 people work better than 1. You can build the armor without ever beating Alatreon.

I don't know if you've already made a video about it, but for the Tail and the gem I use a similar tactic: GS with sleep status + palico with sleep weapon, spamming the grapple "tenderizing" attack until I cut the tail. If he fall asleep you can use the 3d charged GS's attack to cut the tail. It takes me 3-4 minutes and you'll get 2 tail or 1 tail + 1 gem

I'm glad you only need 14 dire wings to make all 14 fully upgraded weapons, they seem to be the rarest material.
