4tbsp handfuls strawberries, hulled
2tbsp cooked rhubarb
1tbsp caster sugar
1tsp gelatine powder
1tbsp marscapone
1tsp icing sugar

5 dollar milkshake :

1 medium banana, 1 vanillla pod, 300 grams of ice cream (vanilla), 200 grams of natrural yoghurt, 250 ml of whole milk, 5 cubes of ice and a pinch of salt 

garnish: whiped cream and cherries

Blender
1 x medium banana
1 x vanilla pod
300gm clotted cream ice cream
200gm natural yoghurt
250ml whole milk
2 x tablespoons of clear honey
5 x cubes of ice
Pinch of salt

To Garnish:
4 x cherries
Squirty cream

How to make a $5 shake:
1) Get $5 (or a conversation into your currency)
2) Put the money collected previously into a blender
3) Add liquid of your choice (personally I like to use the tears of a rich person)
4) Add ice cream of your preferred flavour, normally vanilla
5) Blend the contents of the blender untill it has a shake like consistency
6) Serve and enjoy

   - banana
   - chocolate syrup

   - Topped with a dusting of confectionary sugar (icing sugar)

- 1 pint carton of Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream
- 1 vanilla pod de-seeded 
- 1 glass of milk
- 1 heap table spoon of Malt Drink Powder
- fresh sweetened whipped double cream
- Cherries to garnish.


simple no fuss classic ice cream Vanilla shake,
Method :
empty the ice cream into a blender and roughly chop with a knife,
add the spoonful of malt drink powder and the vanilla seeds,
add the glass of milk (depending of the weather or thickness preference add more or less)


blend untill smooth, serve in a chilled glass garnish with fresh sweetened cream cherries and the de-seeded vanilla pod for added decoration and aroma.

Barry, I reckon any $5 shake has got to have some really extravagant ingredients so, how about making a strawberry cheesecake milkshake? You just get a nice big slice of strawberry cheesecake (home made, of course) and blend it with milk and strawberry yogurt. More milk for a thinner shake, more yogurt to make it thick.

Pint glass.
7 scoops of ice cream
Flavored syrup or a tea spoon of vanilla extract
Fill glass with milk and blend with a shake machine.
5 bucks was a lot of money for a shake back then.

500ml Coconut Ice Cream
3 tbl spoons Honey
1 shot Rum
1 large Banana
2 Oreos
6 cubes Ice
Cherrys to decorate.

There a movie called Ford Fairlaine they do a sambuca a milkshake
It calls for 5oz sambuca
6oz Kahlua
I cup whole milk
2.5oz vodka
2.5oz rum
Add milk to blender then other ingredients mix you can also heat this in the microwave for a minute and let stand and flame

Or the $5 shake recipes I use is
1 banana peeled
1 vanilla pod or half teaspoon paste
350g ice cream
200g yogurt
250ml milk
2tablespoon honey
Ice cubes around five or six
Pinch of salt

Garnish with morello cherry and whipped cream

I think the vanilla pod is what makes it a five dollar shake

i think you should make willy wonka and the chocolate factory style platter. bubble gums that taste like 3 course meals (or three seperate courses), mini chocolate river, giant golden eggs and lickable wallpaper where the snozberry tastes like snozberry ;)
