Personal Vault works on your desktop, in the browser, and on a mobile device. Here's how to set it up on your mobile device:
1. Download and install Microsoft OneDrive from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

2. Open the OneDrive mobile app on your Android or iOS device, and sign in with your Microsoft account.

3. Select Personal Vault under the Files tab.

4. Select Continue.

5. Verify your identity by entering your password. Then use text or email to get a verification code and enter it.

6. Create a 6 digit PIN code and confirm it. If your mobile device has face recognition or a fingerprint reader, you will have the option to use that to unlock your Personal Vault.

What if personal vault is not opening on desktop? i just created it and reinstalled everything and it's not working, it asked me to unlock it once and it opened, then after a restart it wont open nor ask me to unlock it, if it has files in there an error will appear saying onedrive can't sync until the vault is unlocked, but there's no way to unlock it.

My personal vault is not opening. What I can do.

The vault keeps timing out while I'm uploading files. I have it set to the max 4 hours, but it randomly locks much sooner. On the website there isn't even an option for how long to keep it open. I was trying to upload about 50GBs of files and it locked after about 300MB of data. This is worthless if you can't keep it open long enough to upload files. To make matters worse, once you reopen, you have to delete everything and start all over again because onedrive won't merge the files if you're uploading on the website.

There is no option to move photos to the personal vault in the app. This is very annoying.
