I cover basic deductions that everyone should be aware of ranging from the standard deduction, itemized deduction, and whether or not you should waste your time on one path versus another. I also make certain to showcase how high earners, or those with large sums of money, can take action to shelter more of their hard earned money, while being philanthropic and creating generational wealth. From there, I go on to explain how there is a major tax opportunity that could be worth a million dollars if you start early and plan ahead. From there, I go over how all of us should rethink our expenses and how we can turn them into business expenses that works to our advantage on our taxes. And given how difficult this year has been on the stock market, there are steps we can take to save even more on our taxes, but be warned, if you are not careful it may backfire on you! I also briefly cover how crypto currency is an exception to the rule because it is not defined as a security......yet. Overall, I go over ways to save both the wealthy and the everyday Joe thousands on their taxes if they take the right steps.

A very good overview of some excellent ways to save yourself some money. On a side note, I wish I was about 25 again, with this knowledge and with all those years ahead of me!

My problem with HSAs the fees are insane when investing. My employer uses a horrible company that gives you like 5 funds to choose from non of them low cost index funds. On top of the expense ratio fee the HSA administrator chargers their own fee of like $10 a month so if you say invest $1000 theyโ€™re taking 1% plus whatever the expense ratio is. I use my HSA for healthcare costs and a way to avoid taxes; say you end up owing the IRS $100 at the end of the year just give yourself about $300 into your HSA and youโ€™ll break even or even get a small say $100 refund.

This was a very informative video, but it was very superficial and short. Specifically, I am wondering if you could possibly share more details about the converting personal to business expenses via LLC, and the washout sale tax write offs. Thank you!

The HSA strategy was an eye opener. However, real state investors are the reason housing is so expensive in the USA. The government should ban the practice residential real estate investing as they do nothing more than build wealth on the backs of common Americans. Its called rent seeking and as such offers little to no value to society. Nobody needs more than 1-2 residential properties - especially in a state by state basis. Foreigners should also not be legally allowed to purchase residential real estate in the US.

If a 401k has been moved to a "custodial" traditional IRA or Roth IEA, can contributions continue to be made?

Are you sure about the calculations about the HSA? 3, 500 for 15 years will become more than 1 million? At a 8.5% ? Really?

I wonder what you think about investing in muni bonds? Are they a good investment during these times? Do they help with saving taxes?
