Regardless of whether or not the show is the same, this opening is definitely a strong contender for best of the season and year. So much artwork, creative vision, and density of symbologies bundled into a storyboard amalgamation. And, above all, it connects to the ending. If you avoid looking at it as an opening for an anime and as an artistic means of story telling it conveys the same themes present in the show. It's not all mindless craziness. The ending does as well, I'm curious to see by the end if it's going to be as depressing as presented in the opening and end credits. It's probably my favorite op now tbh.
