This is when York finally decided to help us technicians out making life so much easier to get to everything

So thankful my tank of an AC made by Bryant is still running on R22... The less moving parts and electronics, the better.

I am a firm believer in lower efficiency/lower maintenance ac units.

ive seen this problem a few times..usually its leaking freon because from the factory they dont push the rubber seal down into the harness and causes water to get into the transducer and burn thru... to make the job easy cut off the transducer head and use 1/4 " flare stem with 1/4" coupling..add a drip leg to the wires and seal the top of all the wire harness with silicone

You might consider bolstering the waterproofing on the "ducers" to prevent the problem again.

Looks like alot of cleaning needs done...people keep your units clean and happy then it will last and keep you happy

Interesting unit that has the built in LED display with pressure gauges(never seen that before) be intresting how weather proof they are (to bad they didn't protect the sensors as by having them pointing straight up likely it will fail, installing a cup on top them should help to make them last longer)

Step 1: Work on a unit with “pressure transducers”.

Wow, that was a lot of debris in the bottom of that unit! Kinda wonder how good of a design the fan grates are? I have never seen built in pressure gauges, pretty neat$?

They should add valves where the transducers are so you don’t have to evacuate the whole system to change them. Or are they in a sealed well?

After all these years, York keeps finding new ways to overengineer their equipment. I swear they hire ex NASA engineers with their love of electronics that are really not needed.

Can you do one on things that keep a vacuum from pulling down... such as oil getting pulled out of the compressor or contamination in the linesets?

I guess this is what you miss out on when you don't replace your unit every three years

It won't run with a bad transducer, but it would run just fine without any transducers.
