Yesterday at posit::conf I watched Tom Mock from Posit give a talk about the Github Copilot integration (I'll update here to link to this once it's available online). I was excited to try it out, and recorded this video as I experimented with the functionality!

Love this! The testthat creation is such a fun time, it will not generally be able to get the test outputs "correct" but it is very helpful in generating the boilerplate and some of the "first half" of the test.

Looking forward to trying this out when I get that version of RStudio!

I found myself wondering if it can propose tests of the assumptions of the statistical tests I use or follow-up analyses (e.g., postdoc tests, multivariate analyses, etc.).

I’d also love to see how I might be able to prompt my way to better visualizations than common default settings and themes.
