i thought Yor's weapon was inspired by the Spindle in Sleeping Beauty in which makes the person that pricks theirselves to sleep forever, in Yor's case, well dying

Id say her weapon is more like the “thorn” of her title thorn princess, its way too long to be an ice pick and we see her slashing with it. Also briar rose is a type of rose by itself, which is probably what gave her her codename in the first place

Her weapons are actually inspired from a type of throwing weapons used by shinobi (or something of the sort, also forgot the name of them). You may think of the classic shuriken, but these long ones were actually very common. They were used as an advanced type of throwing weapon since they were harder to throw than shuriken and were mainly used to pierce something rather than be tipped with poison and graze an object (which the shuriken did).

This makes me remember Kami no Tou it's an anime that came from a webtoon. The Protagonist was named Bam (in the anime) and Baam (in the webtoon) but when it was voice acted they pronounced it Yor which I'm not sure why..? But if u look in the webtoon 2 girls from the story called him “Night”
and the ice pick just reminds me of a murder case "1 lunatic 1 ice pick" 0_0
(btw this has no connection to spy x family I'm just reminded by it cuz of Yor)
