My theory for sonic 3:
Eggman returnes bc of smthing he did to survive and he gets project shadow meanwhile amy shows up and they all go on a mission to defeat eggman(again) and shadow and in the end shadow doesnt join them but goes to his normal (series) ways like he sometimes fights sonic but normally isnt there leading into sonic 4 where i believe we might see silver and or blaze and or rouge or all depending where they fight ___ and shadow pops up to help them defeat eggman(again again) and ___ and idk wt else
