I have an 04 WJ with a 4.7 with 09 cams and intake with my stock TB adapted to it. A 2.5" exhaust with a Dynomax Ultra Turbo and 3" tailpipe. I think the 5.3 sounds good, a big ball 4.0 sounds real mean, especially a stroked one. But I have people driving both those and others say mine sounds pretty good. I think of all of them it has the best high rpm sound. So I am going with the 4.7 as best sounding.

Just got a 2002 overland .That 4, 7 H.O really packs a punch...IF it works....Nice sounding too.

VM Motori 3.1 diesel sounds great!! It seems the exhaust has been modified. And V8 of course sounds monstrous!!))

Every 4.7 had was garbage, , no experience with 3.1 but haven't had any luck with diesel anything other than the tractors we had on the farm, the 5.2 has always done good in every application I've used them

I have 4.7, my friend has a 5.2 it's funny, in this video 5.2 is the best, but in our experience, 4.7 is the king in high revs, 5.2 has the best grunt on idle. 5.9 takes that even further and 4.7 H.O. also even better in higher revs

4.0 is where it's at had multiple 5.2 wouldn't have another in a Jeep if you gave it to me
