Most all vehicle drivers don't want to hit things.

That might have been a good time to mention that helicopters generally have seats engineered to collapse vertically in a controlled way, to reduce the chance of spinal injury in a heavy landing.

Some do.... especially ones I fly over water. But the airbags are made to give you time to get out in a water landing so it doesn't tip over b4 you can get out.

If you have a strike in flight it's almost always fatal. Airbags in cars are nearly useless as well, but the auto industry doesn't want you to know that.

The OH-58 Kiowa used by the US army does have airbags.

Wrong some do have a type of airbags in the seat belts. Some small aircraft also do . I owned a cesena 206 with air bags.😊

An airbag wont do much in a helicopter crash so no need to have it
