Yes to the chukka boots! My personal fave for summer is something that is sometimes referred to as a "desert boot" -- a very, very light tan suede upper with more of a crepe (not leather) sole. More comfortable and lightweight than you might imagine - apparently, British officers wore a version of these chukka boots during WWII.
