My daughter was born Oct 13, 2023. We named her after this beautiful song. We play this song every night for her before she goes to sleep alongside Close to You by the Carpenter’s- she always looks forward to it.

I’m a cake decorator. And I took an order for a customer for his daughter. Her name is Aubrey. And I asked the man if they named her after this song. He had never heard of it. So I told him it’s a beautiful song and I hope he looked it up. I don’t know if he ever did. But I hope so. Such a beautiful song.

She walked the same path as I did, always ahead, with her friends and I never mustered the courage to speak to her. I spent many nights crying myself to sleep, believing I would never get to know her, reveal my feelings, express my love, or ever to embrace her.
"Aubrey" transports me back to those melancholic, emotional times. The song encapsulates the essence of my unrequited love and opportunities lost. Its power is such that when I attempt to sing along, I become so overwhelmed that I cannot continue, my eyes flooded with tears.
