I just finished mine, I chose a grey canvas sort of looking background, the pockets I made of grey checkered flanell, lumber jack style, since I‘m going to give it to my boyfriend. For the numbers, I made ITH thingies out of felt (christmas 🌲 trees, foxes 🦊 and owls 🦉), to add some colors.
I really enjoyed making this, and I‘ve been already asked if I could do some more for my friend‘s kids.

Thank you for this! 🙌 I was shocked/bummed at how difficult it's been to find a simple, yet thorough, Advent calendar tutorial the past couple days that I've looked. I found a style that was exactly what I love but no tutorial. So glad I searched YouTube and found ya! 😁 I'm thinking of using duck cloth/cotton canvas for my background with black and grey plaids and prints. 😍 We're gonna go check out JoAnn's flannel sale tomorrow so I may choose something totally different.
