Actually it was the Ottomans who changed Constantinople's name to Istanbul. Also, The Ottomans are Turkish, when the country changes to Turkey it doesn't mean a different nation took over, it just means the Ottomans stopped being an empire and reverted inwards to its Turkish core, hence the new name of Turkey.

I still think the crisis mechanic is a bit broken. When the attacker has a backer, but the defender doesn't, the defender wins. That's not supposed to happen.

Both Liquor and Wine are excellent starting industries, as the goods are always in high demand, also the bottommost, of the Three stockpile sliders, is stockpiling of building materials for factories, thus if you have factories under Construction, you don't really ever want to keep this lower than 50%, even  if it means debt, because it will bring means to pay back debt, With the interest going into Your own Pockets, because there are no interest-function to speak of, in this game, thus, by default -it's Yours! Which is Nice of them, over there at Paradox, me thinx. ;)

always thought the crisis system should be if the Claimant for land has one or two great powers but the defender doesnt the land should peacefully be given over or war will occur

It was officially renamed to Istanbul when it became Turkey but as I know it before then it was called Constantinople officially, but the locals had LOADS of names for it. One of which was Istanbul

And it is all, applicable to all the sliders, for expences, except the Stockpile ones, that they  represent salaries, and they are all multiplicable With corresponding National foci Also, keep an eye on the Research Points(I think they are?), , to the right of Your literacy rate -if you hover Your marker over this one, you will see the exact precentage of Clergy and Clerks you have -remember to switch Your Main-foci over to Clerks, once you hit the 2% sweetspot, and use soldiers on and off, as you need recruits. Clerks are the Office-personnel in factories, without them Your factories go mismanaged.

Suggestion that Istanbul is incorrectly named is false.

Turks were calling it by that name since before Ottomans even took the city.

Turkey just made everybody else call it Istanbul by refusing to deliver mail addressed to "Constantinople"...they'd been calling it Istanbul for a long long time.
