Go jump. Where's the government housing in areas that already have amenities? Why don't we only apply negative gearing to brand new builds? Why have a capital gains tax? I know why because if we keep doing this the people who already have stability gain wealth while those of us who are trying to build for our future are left in the dust.
If we get rid of the capital gains tax more property can be sold.
If we get rid of negative gearing on established residential properties we incentivise the sale of old investment properties.
If we build government housing close to amenities we create liveable affordable housing.
